Job Summary
Capture Higher Ed is an innovative leader in the higher education sector, leveraging data and technology to attract and engage mission-fit students. With a proven track record of delivering exceptional results, we are committed to fostering professional growth in a dynamic and enjoyable work environment.

We're looking for a motivated, data-driven Digital Advertising Strategist to join our client success team. In this role, you'll support the planning and optimization of multi-channel digital advertising campaigns designed to generate inquiries, drive applications, and increase enrollments for a diverse portfolio of institutions.

Working closely with our Senior Digital Advertising Strategist, you'll help manage campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other programmatic platforms, translating performance data into actionable strategy. We're seeking someone with a strong foundation in digital advertising who is eager to grow, stays curious about emerging trends, proactively explores new tactics and technologies, and is motivated to push results in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-functional collaboration skills, an interest in the student enrollment journey, and a passion for using insights to drive smarter, more innovative, and results-focused advertising performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of paid media strategies for undergraduate, graduate, online, and continuing education enrollment goals in conjunction with the Senior Digital Advertising Strategist and lead account strategists.
  • Assist in managing and optimizing multi-channel campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms.
  • Collaborate with enrollment advisors, the creative design team, and clients to align messaging and ensure a seamless, strategic user experience from ad click to application.
  • Conduct ongoing performance analysis and campaign optimization, including A/B testing, audience refinement, and creative iteration.
  • Monitor KPIs related to inquiry generation, cost per lead, application rates, and enrollment conversion, ensuring alignment with partner goals.
  • Support proper tracking, attribution, and lead flow into systems like Slate or Salesforce in partnership with product and data services teams.
  • Utilize Google Analytics to inform advertising, content, and conversion strategies, contributing to team-wide best practices.
  • Research emerging advertising tactics, technologies, and platforms relevant to reaching Gen Z and adult learners, including AI-powered tools and automation opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting campaign performance reports and actionable insights to enrollment leadership and campus stakeholders.
  • Stay current on trends in digital media, higher education marketing, and prospective student behavior to inform advertising strategies.
  • Support ad spend allocation tracking by partner, monitor budget pacing, and flag adjustments needed to align with budget and spend targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in digital advertising; experience in higher education, student recruitment, or agency environments is a plus.
  • Experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across major platforms, especially Google Ads and Meta.
  • Curiosity and awareness of emerging trends, tools, platforms, and strategies in digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with the student journey and enrollment funnel from awareness through yield, or a willingness to learn.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or similar reporting platforms.
  • Ability to interpret digital advertising data and contribute to strategic recommendations focused on improving conversion performance.
  • Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) or marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pardot) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and contribute to data-driven presentations.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a passion for driving measurable results.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify and address small but critical elements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience marketing to diverse student populations, including international, adult, online, and graduate students.
  • Experience working within a multi-client organization with varying service models.
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Familiarity with landing page optimization and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
  • Interest in or experience with OTT/CTV advertising platforms and TikTok advertising.
  • Awareness of evolving data privacy landscapes, including cookie deprecation, state privacy laws, and consent frameworks.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive advertising practices.
  • Understanding of higher education compliance standards (e.g., FERPA, NACAC best practices).

Working Conditions:

This is a fully remote position, and you are expected to work from your home office, which must be maintained in the United States. This role will require you to travel to Headquarters in Louisville, KY for company meetings (usually 2-3 trips per year). Also, occasional travel to partner campuses may be required, typically fewer than 4–5 trips annually.
