Roles and Responsibilities

Manufacturing Associate is responsible for boxing and palletizing our finished product. Cleanliness of our process is critical to our success as food-contact product so attention to detail is a must. This role will require operation of production equipment and material handling to achieve the production goals. In this role, you will be trained to follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) processes and procedures to ensure quality product is being made.

· Assist in preparing the production area:

o ensuring daily sanitation and routine maintenance requirements are met

o all materials needed for production are in place

· Boxing and palletizing finished product

· Properly storing all finished goods

· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or manager

Essential Skills Required

· Must be dependable and show up to work on time

· Some overtime may be required from time to time

· Ability to read and write legibly to complete required production documentation

· Ability to perform manual labor, standing and walking much of the time and with a certain amount of manual dexterity (the ability to pick up, handle and manipulate) parts and materials quickly and accurately

· Ability to complete training and execute all requirements of the Food Safety, Quality and GMP Programs (training provided)

Physical Requirements

· Standing is required to perform job

· Ability to lift 20 pounds often

· Ability to life 50 pounds occasionally

· Use of arms and hands regularly

· Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn

· Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and is required

Preferred Skills

· Experience operating a Vertical Form Fill Seal machine (VFFS)

· Forklift certified

· Experience operating other manufacturing equipment such as box tapers, scales, pallet wrappers, pneumatic equipment, floor scrubbers

· Experience working in a GMP environment

Compensation:

· The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
